Thomas Tuchel told Chelsea to sign PSG ace, not in Mauricio Pochettino plans. According to reports in France, Chelsea has identified Paris Saint-Germain teenager Kays Ruiz-Atil as a potential summer target. In charge of Chelsea, Thomas Tuchel is ready to oversee his first summer transfer window. He seems to be able to look at a familiar environment. Tuchel would like PSG midfielder Ruiz-Atil to follow him to Stamford Bridge, according to Foot Mercato.
In September, Tuchel gave Ruiz-Atil his senior debut. The midfielder has been on the fringes of the first team ever since then. This season, Ruiz-Atil has 7 senior appearances to his credit, all coming when Tuchel was in charge. Ruiz-Atil has dropped out of office after Mauricio Pochettino replaced the German as boss.
Chelsea are Ruiz-long-term Atil’s admirers, having been watching him even before Tuchel was in charge. Last summer, they held talks about a possible move. For the teenager, the fact that his former boss is at Stamford Bridge now could prove even more enticing.
Ruiz-Atil and other clubs are now able to sign a pre-contract agreement. Therefore, if they firm up their interest, Chelsea could begin discussions.
Ruiz-Atil is not the only player moving into the summer transfer window on Chelsea’s agenda. Since Tuchel took over, the Blues have been linked with a variety of players, with Jan Oblak of Atletico Madrid one of the recent names to emerge as a target.
In the summer.
Chelsea signed Edouard Mendy as the first-choice goalkeeper to replace Kepa Arrizabalaga but may be looking for a further change. That would surely be Oblak, as he has established himself as one of the world’s best goalkeepers. But Chelsea may not be put off too much by his high price tag. Ruiz-Atil and other clubs are now able to sign a pre-contract agreement. Therefore, if they firm up their interest, Chelsea could begin discussions.
