Barcelona is interested in signing 24-year-old Bundesliga left-back. Barcelona is interested in signing Angelino from RB Leipzig in the summer transfer window, according to Spanish outlet El Gol Digital. If they sign Alfonso Pedraza, the Bundesliga giants may allow the 24-year-old Spanish left-back to leave the Red Bull Arena.Â
Angelino joined RB Leipzig on a short-term loan from Manchester City in January 2020 until the end of the 2019/20 season. The Bundesliga heavyweights, on the other hand, signed him on loan for the second time in a row last summer before signing him on a permanent contract in February of this year.
The 24-year-old has made 55 appearances for Leipzig so far, scoring nine goals and assisting on 16 occasions. Barcelona is interested in signing 24-year-old Bundesliga left-back. Angelino has attracted the interest of some of the game’s greatest teams, with Barcelona, in particular, displaying a strong desire to secure his services after playing some of the best games of his career at the Red Bull Arena.
In fact, the Blaugrana were interested in signing Angelino last summer before opting to keep Junior Firpo on the team. With Firpo joining Leeds United on a permanent transfer this summer, Barcelona will be without a left-back, however, Alejandro Balde, the club’s youngster, could fill the position.Â
Balde, on the other hand, has an unclear future at Camp Nou, with Chelsea showing interest in the prolific left-back. With Jordi Alba approaching 30 and displaying evident symptoms of deterioration, even if it is a progressive decline, Barcelona will undoubtedly benefit from signing a long-term left-back replacement.
Alba has also been linked with a summer departure, with Inter Milan keeping a close eye on him. As a result, it is critical that Barcelona recruit a top-tier left-back this summer, with Angelino appearing as a potential option.
Pedraza was linked with a move to Barcelona in the past but is now expected to join RB Leipzig. Angelino may be on his way to Barcelona if the Bundesliga giants are successful in signing him from Villarreal, and it will be interesting to see how the two transfer sagas unfold.Â
